So today was my first official day of Thanksgiving vacation! Very exciting. My plan was to go to the doctor in the morning and do homework the rest of the day. What happened:
-Went to the doctor in the morning
-Went to the bank
-Dropped half of my bike lock down a storm drain
-Bought a new bike lock, along with things to hang up pictures with
-Went grocery shopping
-Came home and ate lunch
-Went online
-Researched pianos on Craigslist, as well as guidelines for moving pianos
-Facebook
-researched the Occupy Wallstreet campaign
-read people's statements about "I am the 99%"
-asked my friends if they can come over tomorrow
-my friends said no.
-looked at the Facebook for a friend of mine who died a few years ago
-carefully read Kevin's posting of a graphic representation of all the world's money
-read more comics online about physics, math and love
-ran into a comic about Han Solo improvising the response "I know" to Princess Leia's "I love you."
-looked it up on Wikipedia to see if it's true
-read about The Empire Strikes Back
-apparently Darth Vader is ranked #3 on AFI's list of 100 best film villains http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AFI%27s_100_Years%E2%80%A6100_Heroes_and_Villains
-read up on other highly ranked heroes and villains
-Dr. Hannibal Lecter is ranked #1 on the list of film villains. Who is Dr. Hannibal Lecter?
-so then I read all about Red Dragon, Silence of the Lambs, and other books/movies I have little to know knowledge of. There is an awesome plot line among these books, though mind-boggingly dark, full of murder, cannibalism, and messed up people's minds!!!
-And Alex is gone, so now I'm sitting here alone, and the last thing I read about was how someone watched his sister be murdered and eaten (fiction), and how he ate her too, and how this is what made him go crazy and want to murder and torture everyone who had killed his sister, and sent him on to become a psychologist.
-And I'm alone here with my computer.
-This kind of sucks.
I think my solution needs to involve watching Star Trek and eating something other than split-pea soup. I think that feeling guilty over not having done my homework today isn't going to change the situation or make me feel better, so while bother myself by feeling guilty about it? I didn't do homework today. It was technically a day of vacation. I'm not exactly happy about the way I've spent it. I wish I had been more productive and hadn't spent so much time reading depressing things!!
Sincerely,
C
